2.Mostly preventive shutdown was held during night .

1.Follow team project off to shutdown at Perindustrian Nusa Cemerlang. This project is to create new supply at the new substation ( P/E Tong Garden )
2. Create loop in and loop out works at the new substation.
3. make a direct connection for incoming and outgoing cable.
4. resistance used to obtain the correct phase sequence. (R=10 ohm , Y= 0 ohm , B= 1 ohm )

1. Went to Taman Setanggi today because there was three feeder pillar ( fp No.9, No.10, No. 11 ) which have been broken and was stolen. Things that have been stolen was busbar and link unit and cause interference to the customer.
2. Before repair the feeder pillar, the main supply from P/E Taman Setanggi No.3 was off.
3. The total loss for the three feeder pillar is around RM18,000. 4. Learn how to install meter box at Taman Setanggi. the meter was single phase meter.





























4. Off to P/E Taman Damai Jaya, to detect the cause of failure.After checking the fuse and still cannot find the cause of failure, the job was assigned to fault finder team.


5. Around 4 pm, breakdown project at P/E Bayu Puteri No.3. The cause of failure was at the switchgear. The bushing at switchgear got contact with earth and created spark ( heat ) and that make the bushing explode. Generator set was used to gave supply to the customer so that the customer will not affected by the maintainance works.

Today after the morning briefing, everybody was going to finish their paper work. So today, no outside job. I just sat at the office and finished my log book. After asking a permission from one of the person in charge of wagon, i got my chance to ride the wagon and stand inside the wagon's basket :D

Today is my second week at Construction & Services unit.. today I accompanied En. Ershadi to police station Sentral at city of Johor Bahru regarding some mistake in the police report for one cases where the tools inside the substation have been stole. So he have to go to police station to correct the mistake so that insurance company can cover the losses.

After that, we went to the office at wisma TNB because En. Ershadi have some paper work to be done. Some more, office's aircond is under maintance so it was so hot inside the building! everybody is going out. I was given a notes on heat shrinkable for 4 core XLPE insulated cables with wire armour up to 1.1kv, so i read it while En. Ershadi finished his paper work.



















So, once En. Ershadi finished his paper work ( i don't think he managed to finish it because of the heat ) we went to Sek. Sultan Ismail substation to supply electricity. There was so many people, some from Jabatan Pelajaran and some was the consultant for the substation's project. They were worried because the building ( school's building) is still no electricity and tomorrow is their big day ( some event for their 100 years, and deputy prime minister is coming). but when we arrived at the SSI substation, the LV cable is still not connected to transformer yet. So, after they done the connection and taping for transformer ( 22kv 1000KVA) then the AP ( authorize person) on the switch for supply electricity. We finished around 7.oopm.

Today is my last day at planning department. I just help En. Shaharin doing some typing using Microsoft Word for their filing system. Everybody quite busy today. I just stay at the office and read some notes about transformer that Cik As gave me. She got that notes during her training at ILSAS. Next week i wil not stay at the office anymore. I will go to Construction and Service Department for two weeks. i have ten weeks to go! :)

Everybody is not in the office. En. Shaharin got meeting to attend. I just stayed at the office
and doing some reading about Buletin OSHU and the substation grounding system.

Today En. Shaharin, i and two others trainee went out to see TNB project regarding the electricity cable at the highway from city of Johor Bahru to NUSAJAYA. En. Shaharin also showed us the only one high voltage mains at Johor Bahru which is at Gelang Patah.

Its been a long time since my last post. I've been very + super tired when i get back home during this internship..hehe :) Last Friday, 9 April 2010, i help En. Yunus, one of my office mate to arrange the registration for KELAB KILAT DINNER NIGHT. The dinner is organized at the NEW YORK HOTEL. They served us with some kind of Chinese cuisine and it taste so yummy! and the dinner was awesome! Other than that, i just have an ordinary day like before. En. Shaharin and En. Wan help me explaining things that i don't understand. All the staff here very kind to me. That's all for now. byebye :D

Today is my first day at Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Johor Bahru. As i arrived at TNB, i have to register myself as a trainee to Encik Yusri, at the Human Resources Center and give them all the document that they needed such as Borang Tanggung Rugi, Offer letter and so on.i was given a briefing about my internship at TNB and they gave me schedule for twelve weeks at TNB.

I was transfered to my first job scope at Unit Perancangan and report myself to Puan Adibah binti Ali, Jurutera Perancang Kanan. Later, Encik Izeharudin, the engineer at Unit Perancangan show me around the office and I introduce myself to all the staff. Around 9.00 am, I accompanied Encik Hamidon, one of the staff at Unit Perancangan to do his work. His work is about checking the wires and other stuff before they plug in the meter for electricity as the customer request. He also do the estimation to build in the electric pole near the customer houses. I also learned so many things as I accompanied Encik Hamidon.

After lunch, I learned about how Unit Perancangan process customer's proposal for electricity supply up to 11kv. Usually it is for a house lot, shop lot or factory. They have to check the customer's proposal and go to the site to look around before approved. After that, they will do the estimation for the prices and so on. They have a few step before they submit the proposal to the other unit for the installation work.

Before i finished my first day, Encik Izeharudin invited me to join him for a small meeting with his client for electrical installation for houses. And after that, i finished my first day as a trainee at TNB.
