Today, everybody have works to be done. but not me :) i'm still learning a new things everyday. First, we go to Telekom substation because the workers want to fill up the drain (cable route) with sand in the transformer room and switch gear room. Before filled up the drain with sand, they have to empty the drain ( water drains ) , only then they can started filled up the drains with sand.

We have cable tracing again. but today i follow them tracing the cable on the road. We spent most of the time at the PMU majidee. We have to trace three cable between PPU to substations to identify the cable route for cable resite.

the multimeter is for phase sequence testing. We want to create parallel system so we have to check whether the phase sequences is correct.r-r , y-y , b-b if it is in phase, the reading will b closed to 0v. if the phase is different, it will gave reading up to 120v ( for example, it depends on switchgear types. usually, the tools for phase sequences testing is 'catu' ( the brands name ). multimeter is just an alternative way for phase sequence testing.

remote room. for ht switching, we have two ways to operate breaker. One way is using this remote, or manually. Every time we want to do a shutdown project, we have to inform person in charge at the RCC ( regional control centre ) about our switching. They will know our load and if it is overloading, they have the rights to stop us from doing any switching. The breaker operate using DC, 110v.

Thats all :)

Today after the morning prayer and some briefing from the leader, i went out with the TNB staff for breakfast. nice breakfast today :)

After that, we go to met Mr. David ( contractor for some project ) at Jln Temenggong ( a factory ) because En. Ershadi want to show him the cable route to the substation inside the factory so that TNB can supply electricity to the factory. Mr. David was the person incharge for the factory substation. Mr. David is a nice man!! :)

it's locked. the substation is inside.

nothing related to internship :)

the factory is beside sauce factory. hehe O_o

After that, we went to commercial center Larkin, because En. Ershadi got one call said that one feeder pillar is broken and something is missing. O_o so we rush there to see what exactly the things that missing and save the copper bus bar from being stolen AGAIN. After we went for a site visit at Telekom's substation to see the progress on that substation as they have a shut down project tonight.

CT or current transformer. this is for current measuring. to measure current more than 100A, we have to use CT meter.

crimping the bimetal. Hydraulic pump is used to crimp 500mmp bimetal.

Lastly, we went to PPU Tampoi for cable tracing. It was so hot during the day. We all sweat like bathing! Cable tracing is to find the existing cable between the ppu and the substation.

En. Zul is racking out the breaker. For every switching, we have to rack out the breaker to make sure there is no current supply. Also for our safety when we want to connect resistance, cable identifier, and tracing set. In one condition, we have to test with life phasing stick ( test pen for high voltage )

breaker

En. Rashidi do the switching process with PPD ( personal protection device) complete with the orange outfit, hand glove, fire resistant pants, safety boots, helmet and visor.

the reading for life phasing stick. when there is no reading, so it show that there is no voltages.

i'm done for today!
